In 1997, Teresa Hartnett founded The Hartnett Agency, which is located in Alexandria, Virginia.
Hartnett welcomes authors seeking to challenge mainstream assumptions with compelling arguments based on well-informed thought. Her clients are characterized by their knowledge leadership, their regard for human potential, and unrivaled creative analysis. This agency and its authors seek to focus public dialog on issues and to transcend divisive posturing. Hartnett has taken the lead establishing a special outreach to support military authors.
Hartnett represents authors to mainstream publishers for the traditional trade retail market and for the college textbook and academic markets. Her authors also publish web-based products, regional releases, and various creative products to achieve goals targeted by business plans in commercial and non-profit settings.
To her work and the work of her agency associates, Hartnett brings 25+ years of publishing experience in writing, editorial development, packaging, publicity, rights, marketing and sales. Her specialty is the esoteric area of commercial licensing and product development for diverse media.
